Hey everybody. Inspired by my friends I have gained an interest in setting up a store on my website. I’ll be rotating things from time to time and the possibilities are really limitless. I’m currently getting calendars shipped to me printed on a high quality card stock with some of my favorite photographs. I say some because it was really painful filing down and picking only 13 images! If there is great interest I can make further calendars that could be wildlife, landscapes, waterfalls, Yellowstone/Grand Teton National Park etc.  Also I’ve wanted to add prints for availability as well. Currently they are metallic prints, but things will change in the future and I will always be taking requests for additions. Anything you see on the blog or portfolio is fair game. Paypal takes care of the transactions at check out and shows my header so you can feel confident it is associated with me and my site. A paypal account is not required and credit is welcome.

If anyone wants to do this on their blog I used a free plugin that does the work for ya. It’s called The WordPress Simple Paypal Shopping Cart plugin (quite a mouthful.) You can grab it here. It allows you to use paypal as your credit and paypal transaction service. Then by just dropping a line of code (shown to you in the plugins settings tab so you can copy and paste it) in the post or page it automatically sets up an add to cart and shopping cart section. When the add to cart button is clicked the shopping cart shows itself. You can also customize your buttons as I did and point your URL to its destination somewhere on the net. All that is left is adding your thumbnails of what your selling, some text and the preset code and your golden. From that link there is also a paid plugin called WordPress eStore Plugin that is a slightly more equipped version that may be necessary if your thinking on offering digital downloads (;-).)

I hope this little tidbit has helped. Now for the sales pitch. The holidays are coming and it would be a great time to get them a gift for the new year! (sales pitch over.) Also I am currently working on updating my picture book I have written in the past called “Nature’s RAW form”. Once I get the chance to finish it I will let you all know. All the best.
