What a better way to start a photography Base Camp then with little sleep, poor nutrition, and the amazing grandeur of the Alaskan landscape. Hello all and welcome. I recently got back from Moose Peterson’s Wildlife Photography Base camp and boy did I learn a ton. Anchorage, Alaska was beautiful and shared with us some of it’s many treasures. I was inspired by Moose and Josh his assistant to start a blog of my photography; a look into what and where I am shooting. I hope you all will come visit and don’t become strangers ya hear?

Photography highlights from Base Camp:

Ramming

The famous early morning dall sheep coming down from the mountain tops to graze. Seen above ramming one another.

hanging out

One of Moose’s favorite places called Potter’s Marsh; a quick pull off from the highway. Filled with Mew gulls and arctic turns.

panning

A mew gull in flight. Potters marsh was the perfect place to practice our panning technique.

Stay tuned for my trip to Oslo, Norway, with my final destination in Svalbard, Norway! apprx. 625 miles from the north pole!
